Kristen Wikman, RN Registered Nurse | Experienced Professional Nursing Care

KRISTEN WIKMAN, RN
Registered Nurse

Kristen has worked in many different units in the hospital over 10+ years, from acute care in surgical, medical, oncology, rehab, neurology, bone/joint, observation, and telemetry, to progressive care and 4+ years critical care while in ICU/ER float pool. She has also worked in a same-day surgery center and in Utilization Review for an insurance company as an RN. Kristen has a passion for helping people and also operates IV Fusion, which offers hydration with IV vitamins and minerals.

“While working for an insurance company, I realized how much insurance requirements are guiding the care patients received. Many people approached me concerning their experiences with gaps in the healthcare system - holes that are left empty. Many needs are unmet. Many people talk about wanting to stay home as long as possible, or wanting to return home after hospital stay and not being able to due to wound care, IV antibiotics, or required nursing care. Many are living in facilities that don’t have the required RN staff available to take on specific care, and now patients are paying for their primary living in addition to rehab and/or a nursing home. Many people are also left with unanswered questions - about how to translate the information the doctor gave them about a diagnosis or a medication.”

For those requesting more information on caregiver services and/or nursing services, anything that a nurse can do, Home Alone can provide.
